To reinstate live Glycol Pipeline Phenolic Insulation on the pipe rack
Glycol Old Loop Main Header DN450mm, 2.3km, Re-Instate Phenolic Insulation

Maxman pioneered a groundbreaking insulation solution, overcoming the challenge of insulating live Glycol Lines without compromising their integrity. Inspired by neonatal ICU incubators, our innovative approach involved creating a hermetic barrier around the treated pipe. By continuously circulating dry air within the enclosed space, we ensured the Glycol Line remained ice-free, setting a new standard for insulation.

During the mock-up trial for contractor selection, MSD selected us over a global insulation giant. We are proud to have completed the job within 3 years, safely and on time. With this experience, we learnt about the importance of traceability in material application and safety aspects. It is now part of the company’s culture.

Microsoft Data Centre

Microsoft operates a major data centre facility in Singapore, delivering numerous cloud services for its customers.

Scope of work:
To install Armachek GC

Armachek GC is a niche insulation material consisting of Glass Cloth on Rubber. Glass Cloth is a non-stretchable material glued to stretchable rubber. It is challenging to install this material seamlessly. We studied the characteristics of this material and acquired the skills necessary for handling it.

The pipes were completed using a DfMA method , with the modules delivered to the site for assembly and integration. Our team worked to insulate the required pipes off-site before completing the installation on-site.

UMC

United Microelectronics Corporation is a well-known semiconductor foundry. 

Scope of work:
CUB, PCW and Office Building. A speedy project which involved, at peak, almost 100 insulators on site.

The type of insulation material applied: Rockwool, Rubber, Polyurethane.

Cladded with Aluminium Sheet, Galvanised Iron Sheet, and Stainless Steel Sheet.

Norvatis Pharmaceutical Plant

Novartis is a global healthcare company that provides solutions to address the evolving needs of patients worldwide.

Scope of work:
Insulation for a brand-new pharmaceutical plant using materials such as FormGlas, Rockwool, Rubber, HT/Armaflex.

We faced challenges when multiple systems were ready to be installed simultaneously. Through exceptional collaboration with our client, suppliers, and the unwavering dedication of our team, we successfully delivered the project on time, meeting the stringent schedule and high safety standards.

Geras 1

Scope of work:
Insulation for a locally owned data centre with a special feature: Three 30-meter-high buffer tanks.

We began insulation of the buffer tanks horizontally, strategically repositioning them by hoisting after the insulation was finished. This innovative approach enabled us overcome the logistical challenges caused by the structure’s height.

The success of this project was made possible through our close collaboration with the client, highlighting the importance of effective partnership in achieving complex project goals.
